A number of workshops are held throughout the week with TUTORS and LEADING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS from various arts and disciplines in the entertainment industry will guide students through stagecraft, voice coaching, direction and music.

MICHAEL DURKAN

Michael is Executive Producer/Director of Gaelforce Dance, a theatrical Irish dance show which has toured the world since 1997, and On Eagle’s Wing. This production had a cast of over 300 people when staged at the Odessy in Belfast. His latest production, Dance Masters has been touring Germany for 3 years playing over 1,000 shows to more than 600,000 people. Michael’s other productions include Irish Nights and Celtic Nights which are currently touring the USA and his current production The International Magic Tenors is on an 80 date sold out tour of Germany. These various shows will tour Europe, Asia and North America.

Michael is very much a hands on person, mindful of all aspects of every production, he has a common sense, earthy approach bringing people along with him and inspiring people to present their very best talents no matter what their job or role might be. He brings a disciplined approach to all of his productions getting the very best out of the personnel working with him and above all the detail to the client’s wishes and requirements are factors which Michael regards as essential to a job well done. RICHARD GRIFFIN

Choreographer and Dance Director for GFD Promotions

Richard has been working with GFD since 1999 during which time he has choreographed numerous productions such as Gaelforce Dance,Dance Masters and Celtic Nights. Richard has also worked with other dance companies in North and South America , Australia , mainland Europe and the Royal Ballet in London.

Richards background is in competitive Irish Dancing with CLRG , where he is a teacher, adjudicator and examiner. Richards students have won over 50 World Titles in every discipline , and currently runs the Griffin Lynch Irish dance school with his partner Maggie Lynch.
